About Me
Have you ever meet someone and from the moment your eyes connected it was as if time stood still? Someone who's smile instantly brightens any room they enter? .... Well that isn't me. Those traits are reserved specifically for the victims of your favourite true crime documentaries or podcasts ( I'm always looking for recommendations so please send them my way )
I'm a Melbourne based Marriage Celebrant and lover of love. With a surname like Chappel and Initials of MC it was almost inevitable that I become a Marriage Celebrant. A recent discovery lead me to finding out I'm the 5 x Great Granddaughter of the first couple to be married in Tasmania ( The type of marriages I now get to perform ) so I guess you could say It's in my blood. Throw in being Dyslexic and a later in life ADHD diagnosis I've really developed the skill of verbal communication, story telling and deep and meaningful conversation over the years. Those "talks too much in class" report cards now really are my superpower.
I would love to be a part of your special day and not only get to share your love story but get to be a small part if it (the making it legal part).

My Writing Style
The best way to describe my writing style is by having you imagine your Dad wrote your wedding ceremony for you. Sound's strange I know but hear me out.
I come to all my ceremonies with the sincerity and empathy of a Parent. There will be all the glowing heartfelt oohhs and awws moments BUT there will also be Dad level worthy jokes, the kind that you and your guests can’t help but laugh at!
The greatest compliment a Celebrant can receive after a ceremony is being told “it’s like you knew the couple” and the goal of every ceremony is to make it feel like YOU.
Look is it going to be the level of detail your Mum knows of your love your story… NO. That would be almost impossible, But through our meetings and a specially crafted list of questions we will perfectly encapsulate your love story.

Family
Besides being a Celebrant I am also a Wife and Mother.
Fun fact my Husband and I choose our wedding date because it was his Grand Parents wedding anniversary. Then a few years later our Son was born on our wedding anniversary. Let that be proof of my commitment to a wedding date! haha!.
But in all seriousness by trusting me with your love story you are supporting my small business and my small people. There is nothing transactional about the privilege I feel when I get to be a part of your own family history. Thank you.
Because of my young family I am purposely selective about availability to ensure that each and every ceremony I perform is the quality you deserve. Quality will always win out over quantity.
